In May and June, and possibly longer, some of us are reading Middlemarch by George Eliot.
Arti is the host of the Read-Along and her introductory posts include provocative quotes about the book and the author both. Now that she’s reading the story she’s posted some of the fun sibling discussions that we are privy to:
Book I – What are Siblings For? – May 12
Let the Fun Begin – May 1
‘Middlemarch in May’ Read-Along – April 20 “In 2015, BBC Culture contributor Jane Ciabattari surveyed 82 book critics around the world outside UK, ‘from Australia to Zimbabwe,’ and asked them to rate the greatest English novels of all time. Guess which book came up on top of the list? Guess right. Middlemarch by George Eliot.”
Bellezza is one of the founders of the project.
Many of my own thoughts so far appear as comments on others’ blog posts, but I have some posts of my own in the works.
Please post a comment here or send me a message elsewhere if you find more discussion of Middlemarch that I can link to or post on this page.
