Afloat somewhere and overcome.

TOWARDS A NEW RENAISSANCE

Dear Friend with a crescent moon above your door,
I have heard that you are overcome by poetry,

that you are afloat somewhere inside the world’s great
sorrow, with the language of love as your compass.

You have been gone a long time, a white sail
full of clear sky, and no land in sight.

One such as you will become an ocean unto itself
because you learn and live your craft well.

Don’t forget to report back to us – I have a feeling
the universal winds are sensitive to words.

  1. Dearest Gretchen, I failed in collecting your new email address could you please send. I was thinking about you mentioning a break from blogging. Then we started studying Deuteronomy. Well wouldn’t you know our friend Moses was commanded to journal ! There’s nothing in the Bible that says he had a scribe. The beginning of Deuteronomy really brings Moses’s character to life. Moses’s love and respect for Father God is endearing. So different from the Cecil B D’ Mille version. I’m not a writer. I was glad you read my meanderings. It was helpful with loss. Love you and am grateful for you. In Christ, Virginia
