This is the first time I’ve ever really looked at comic book art as something more than the background to the text. It helps that someone put all these examples in one place as a mini-museum for me to peruse. Maybe you will like to click through and see all 13 yourself.

Seeing those different comic book covers was interesting. My sons have at different times collected comics and some are still in plastic covers. I guess the hope is that one day they’ll be worth a small fortune? Not likely.

It is interesting looking back at older comics and even novels to realise how much work has gone into the illustrations. I enjoyed seeing these.

Maybe it is the increasing amount of AI imagery I see that has made me pay more attention to true art of the sort only humans can create.
