Some of us celebrate the Feast of the Transfiguration on August 6th, which is on Sunday this year. Here is an excerpt from “Transfiguration” by Malcolm Guite:
“The Love that dances at the heart of things
Shone out upon us from a human face
And to that light the light in us leaped up…”
Do skip over to Guite’s page so you can hear him read his latest poem himself.

GJ, thanks so much for that link! The whole sonnet is gorgeous, perfection. I love the sonnet form, when done well. Beautiful indeed, and so hopeful.

(And don’t you think it’s a perfect poem in light of the upcoming eclipse?)

“The love that dances at the heart of things” — such a beautiful line. It occurs to me: love always dances. It’s one of the few things in the world that’s assured.
