For Orthodox Christians, today is the first day of the liturgical year, and also the Feast of Creation. The perfect day to think on this:

Who gives it such wonderful form? O Creator, grant us the opportunity through flowers to embrace Thy wisdom, Thy benevolence, and Thine almighty power.”

  3. While not Orthodox myself I love knowing this as my best friend is Orthodox. And September, the beginning of the ber months is special to me, definitely with that new year feeling. Your green zinnia, I want some!

    1. Thank you, Dewena. It’s definitely and unusually fallish here, at the beginning of the “bers”… but weather is always interesting, and how flat life would be without these constant changes.
